I am an experienced professional who has worked with children and adults with special needs. These experiences vary from working with individuals with Autism Spectrum disorder to those with mobility difficulties such as Epilepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Over the years, my place of work has varied from mainstream and special needs schools to home settings and in the community. I am trained in Makaton and the picture exchange communication system. I offer one-to-one support where needed to develop independence and encourage and maintain basic everyday needs such as good hygiene, food consumption, and mobility support. I also offer support for those looking to be more inclusive in the community, and I can be a social partner for those who need someone to encourage and build on their communication and play skills.
