I studied paediatric nursing at the University of Surrey, qualified in September and am now working at Southampon Children’s Hospital. Throughout my time at university I provided day-to-day respite care for a family but sadly having relocated for work I no longer see them regularly. I looked after a their son who has severe autism taking him out on day trips, providing personal care and became part of the family. Whilst at university I also babysat for a couple of local families with able bodied children.
