I am a special needs teacher working as an Autism Advisor, in London. I have worked as a personal assistant to children with additional needs for 6 years. In this time, I have provided respite in the home and in the community. I take the boys swimming, to the park, horse riding, to museums, soft play and trampoline parks etc. As well as a qualified SEN teacher, I am also a qualified swimming teacher. I have extensive experience using AAC including High Tech devices and PECS. I am confident with the use of visuals, providing sensory input and associated ASC strategies. I enjoy being out and about and giving children the opportunity to explore the big wide world. I also have a registered therapy dog, Buddy. He is hypoallergenic and proves very popular with anyone and everyone! He would be able to come and help if you wish! I would be able to provide after school care one night a week, some weekend work and some holiday work. A family looking for flexible hours would be great.
