About Amy

28 years old Speaks English
I have been a support practitioner for children and young people with complex behavioral and health needs since 2017 until earlier this year. I completed two years of teaching training at university in mathematics, including placements at primary, secondary, and additional support needs schools. While at school and through university I volunteered helping with cubs and brownies, as well as running after school homework and "big sister" clubs and teaching swimming to under 7s while working as a lifeguard. I am First aid trained including administering medication, epilepsy intervention, allergy management, Gastro feeding and medication, and ventilation/ tracheostomy support, also have experience with Makaton signs. I currently work in recruitment but miss engaging with children and helping them develop and grow into brave, outgoing individuals. In my free time I enjoy wild swimming, hill walking, camping, playing with my pets, cooking and baking, and playing video games.
Non-smoker Has own transportation Comfortable with pets Willing to care for sick children

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Amy . Amy has watched my dog on several separate occasions- I have a French bulldog. I work 12 hour shifts so Amy takes him for a walk around lunchtime and stays with him for 2 hours. Amy keeps me updated, texting me when she arrives and when she leaves the house and sends pictures to let me know he's OK. Amy tires him out, taking him for long walks and playing games, whenever she leaves I check the camera and he settles straight to sleep. Amy leaves boredom breakers out for him in case he wakes up but he usually sleeps through! Highly recommend Amy as my dog can be quite timid but he has happily welcomed her into his life! I was initially nervous leaving my dog with a stranger but now I don't think I could trust anyone else
