I currently work at a Specialist College, whom has been graded Outstanding by CQC & Ofsted. I have worked there for over 9 years, I have worked in a various of roles including Deputy Manager of a 10 Bedded Residence and now I’m currently a Care & Support Assessor. I currently have a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, also Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care. I have a strong passion for working with young people to enrich their lives, whilst developing their independence. I have a person centred approach. I have a wide range of experience of working with diverse disabilities & health condition, in which I have been trained accordingly. Therefore I have a wide range of developed transferable skills. I have good listening skills, I am patient, have empathy & able to take direction from others, although also able to use my own initiative. I have adaptable communication techniques & experience of Makaton, AAC Device & Intensive Interaction. I’m used to working with a Therapy Integration Approach, assisting with Physiotherapy Activities & Sensory-Diets. I’m looking to assist a young person on evenings, weekends & especially in the school holidays, as my current role is Monday-Friday & term-time only.
