From the age of 16, I did volunteering in SEN schools and charities. I then studied psychology with counseling skills and graduated last year. I worked for a year as a support worker in an after school club and day care center for children and young adults with a wide range of special needs. And am currently working as a 1:1 SEN TA in a mainstream primary school with a child with cognitive and physical needs. I have manual handling training, have been trained to use a catheter, have experience with epilepsy (no official training but personal experience at work and with someone in my family), and I am first aid trained. I have experience with babies to young adults (21 years old).
