I have many years experience of training and care for my own dog(s). My parents - both dog lovers themselves - had dogs when I was a child and I grew up alongside waggy tailed friends. I currently have just one dog, a rescue girl who came to me 3 years ago and much of my spare time is devoted to her ongoing training and care. Despite this, my walking hours are very flexible. Whilst I was studying for my A-levels, I also regularly walked and fed my next-door neighbours two dogs. In the afternoons, when I'd just returned from school, I made sure they had enough water and company until the owners came back late at night from work. On occasion, during the school holidays and some weekends, I would dog sit for the whole day whilst the neighbours were away for the day. Dogs,to me, are a form of companion. They deserve great care, attention and someone to play with. Thusly, in my opinion, walks are for them to be able to have fun and not just so they don't wee in the house. I live in Islington and I would either walk, cycle or use public transport to get to and from jobs.
