I grew up around dogs, owning them as pets, and while I haven't owned one for a number of years, due to my not having a garden, I look forward to seeing friends with pets, who I often look after and walk. I am patient, trustworthy, well-mannered and compassionate by nature, and have a natural affinity with animals – dogs and cats especially - treating them with affection that is invariably returned. And while I understand that, like young children, boundaries have to be set, and owners’ wishes respected, affection, verbal reaffirmation of good behaviour and the occasional treat (with the owners’ permission, of course!) are successful means of achieving this. I am a published author/screenwriter seeking ways to bring in extra revenue and, as a self-employed worker, don't have the constraints of a regular full-time job, freeing me up for this type of activity.
