I currently have a cat, going on 8years old. I also previous owned a cat for an addition 8 years. Plenty of experience. I have looked after a family friends cat when they were away for a week, went in an fed them and gave them some company for a couple of hours. I love it and I love cats playful or quiet, snuggly or not, I love them all. Happy to pop in when required or cat sit (must be at the owners house).
