Hello, I’m Philippa. I have always had at least one cat and dog- since childhood. I’ve also had rabbits, Guinea pigs, rats and other small mammals, plus rescued ducklings and other birds. I’m now semi retired (I have a very part time job with the College of Policing, where I work remotely), and as I love the outdoors (even in the rain!), and dogs, I’d like to start dog walking. I have a valid DBS, and plan to be fully insured. I also plan to complete a canine first aid course before I begin walking. I have volunteered to walk dogs at Wolfwood Rescue, Lancaster, in the past, and have two rescue dogs from there, one of whom we sadly lost recently. He was a very old gentleman and we miss him very much. I will also be available to feed and cuddle cats, or other animals. I have been a volunteer cat cuddler at Animal Care in Lancaster for 3 years. I worked mostly in schools during my working life- lastly in an emotional/behavioural setting. I’m very patient and understand that all behaviour is communication.
