I currently work for Dogs Trust as a Canine Carer and I am based at the re- homing centre in Darlington, over the past 12 months working at Dogs Trust I have taken on a variety of duties such as; working in the kennels directly with the dogs following out the tasks of cleaning, walking, feeding, medicating and completing off site vet visits along with supporting in vet consultations on site. Other duties I have participated in are; carrying out home visits across the North East to make sure that the dogs are going to suitable homes and to make sure that the new potential owners are ready to take a dog home, as well as working shifts in the reception of the re-homing centre, meeting and greeting customers, making sure that the appropriate paper work is complete and in place along with talking them through the process of viewing and getting more information on the dogs we have in our care.
