I grew up with dogs all my life and honestly couldnt be more greatfull for that. The bond you can have with a dog is so special. There are many benefits to spending time with a dog - reduces stress levels, mental wellbeing and fitness, plus the social aspect. I enjoy walks and exercise myself and giving love to dogs so whats better than killing two birds with one stone.
