My hands-on experience with animals began when I was 16 when I applied for a Level 3 Extended Diploma course in Animal Management at Hadlow College (2 years). Here I gained over 400 hours in practical, hands on duties with a wide range of species, including reptiles, amphibians, aquatic species, small carnivores, farm animals and aviary exotics. I was awarded a Distinction in this course, which has allowed me to get on to my current course, BSc (Hons) Wildlife Conservation at the University of Kent, which I am in my first year of. While studying at Hadlow College, I also completed a Level 2 Certificate of Technical Competence in Pet Sitting, which qualifies me to pet sit for a wide range of domestic animals. I have plenty of experience with dogs in particular, having previously completed work experience at and consequently offered a part time job as a part time kennel assistant. I have also completed many work experience hours at multiple veterinary practices including Vets4Pets and Elands (Sevenoaks) caring for a variety of small mammals, cats and dogs with different behavioural needs and requirements.
