Hello, my name is Kathleen and I am 24 years old. I have worked towards both my diploma in animal care at Oakland’College and my degree in animal management. During my time in this course, I have been able to work with a large variety of animals and all with different temperaments. During my time on the course I volunteered at a kennels that specialized in dogs but that also looked after small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters and gerbils. My time at the kennels helped me learn how to work with different dogs in the correct way. At home I am in charge of the pets in the house, which include two cats (male and female) and an elderly dog also a hamster and bearded dragon. I have always had animals growing up that have always been a part of the family and treated as such.
