I have always surrounded myself with canines studying behavior and all different tendencies. I can honestly say that dogs are my spirit animal and have only met one dog in my life that has not immediately taken a liking to me, but that was due to PTSD from an abusive home. Thankfully after awhile she was able to warm up to me. Dogs are inherently pack animals meaning that they are immediately drawn to being around someone who will give them the time of day and successful encounters are when they meet a true "Alpha" meaning someone who will discipline but will at the same time show affection. They are very curious individuals and may put up walls but breaking the walls down is one of the most fulfilling accomplishments I've ever felt.
