I've been surrounded by all types of animals all my life of which most has been rescues. I've cared for dogs, cats, chickens, cockatiels, budgies, deer and horses. Recently I sadly lost my furry friend due to a lung condition. She was blind and suffered from epilepsy. She had to receive medication twice a day and she really struggled meeting new people. I learnt so much from her but most of all I learnt that animals see with their hearts. I'm not yet ready to take on another pet however I miss the daily interaction with her. I miss the simple cuddles on the couch and simply being greeted by a wagging tail. Just being around animals make me so happy. I did some animal behavior classes with her to understand her body language better and I believe that has helped my interaction and understanding of dogs in general. I have experience with cats too. Growing up we had rescue cats off the streets. Cats are so intelligent and I love that I have to earn their affection. I love both cats and dogs equally.
