I have been at college for 2 years studying a BTEC Level 3 Animal Management course. I have since finished and achieved a D*D*D* grade. I have covered many topics such as animal welfare and biology. I have done practical units such as dog grooming, practical handling and practical husbandry. This has given me many skills and experiences I wouldn’t have gotten without doing this course. My current place at work is at a boarding kennel and I have met a variety of dogs breeds and gotten used to a variety of temperaments as well as been around dogs of many ages and sizes. Doing this has allowed me to get used to working with animals in a work setting and allowed me to develop my personal skills such as time management and customer service. I have lived on a for most of my teenage years and owned horses as well as other farm animals such as poultry, pigs and dogs. I am eager to work and quick to learn and aspire to deliver the best pet care service possible.
