I have owned dogs all my life. They are my family not just a pet. I have had Cockatiels and budgies along with guinea pugs and rabbits. I have ridden and cared for horses on and off most of my life too. Respect is important with all animals. They do need a strong person to keep them safe to themselves and those around them but that must be balanced with love and trust.
