About Eliza
23 years old
I studied animal care in college, where I was taught the importance of animal welfare (including the five needs of animals), health and safety such as hygiene and different hazards, waste control as well as how to use protective equipment.
We learnt how to properly feed them and the diet which each animal needed at each stage in life, in order to live sustainably. There was also a lot of practical work, where I handled different species of animal including a parrot, rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice), rabbits and ferrets as well as reptiles (snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises), amphibians (frogs), sugar gliders and spiders. Additionally, we were taught how to handle an injured animal.
Other experiences include: on/off pet sitting; feeding, grooming, walking, administering medication, playing
Used to own multiple dogs and cats.
Slight experience with farm animals like cows and horses on family farm.
