I've owned dogs for all my life and always took to animals well. Recently a friend of mine acquired a farm and his pets range from a couple hyacinth macaws to Shetland ponies and piglets. He trusted me to look after all of them for a month which I enjoyed very much and got me thinking about doing it on a more regular basis.
