I'm currently a mature student at the University of Lincoln, working towards a BSc in Chemistry. With such a long break over Summer, I can think of no better way than helping out and looking after animals in need of walking, feeding, etc. I owned 2 rabbits for approximately 10 years and frequently help to look after my Auntie's 2 cats. I've always been incredibly passionate about animal welfare and one day hope to pursue a career in that field. I was a volunteer at RSPCA Blackberry Farm for a few years, walking the dogs and helping to socialise the cats. I found it to be a really rewarding experience. I especially loved knowing I'd made a difference when it came to cats who were initially terrified of humans. Seeing them eventually open up melted my heart!
