I have a 3-year-old Bichon Maltese. I rescued him from a high-kill shelter when he was 2 months old. Last year, he was diagnosed with a rare form of skin cancer. Hemangiosarcoma. This is when he underwent his first surgery. His surgery wasn’t successful. The vet wasn’t able to remove all of cancer. But, it’s ok because I was able to find the best oncologist in the city. Every 3 months we take our 700-mile round trip adventure to visit the vet and their staff for treatment to slow the growth of cancer. These are the extremities that I was ready to go for my dog, but I assure you if I had to take care of another dog even though it is not my own; I would take care of it to the fullest.
