I have been brought up my entire life around animals. My mother used to be dog trainer, and I would say I have the same passion for animals. We had six dogs in my childhood home, two cats, two ponds full of fish, twelve chickens, and a tortoise. Now my mum and sister have recently moved to the farm in Scotland, with their two flat-coated retrievers and three King Charles Spaniels, chickens and cats, so I am all alone in the animal department whilst living in London. Raising dogs and cats from a young age was a challenge at times, but looking back I am so grateful to have learnt these skills, and I feel it would be a waste to put them to use to help a family/individual out who needs it. My new jobs allows me to work from home so I can be relatively flexible. In the evenings I do extra revision for my chartership, so spending a few hours with someone's pet is something I can very much do alongside. Before becoming a building surveyor, I was a senior sales negotiator for a reputable SW London estate agency, so I have years of experience of being trusted to spend periods of time alone in other peoples homes.
