Over 4 years experience caring for and handling a range of domesticated animals. My affections for animals started in my early developmental stages, I lived only a short drive away from a small holding for many years and frequented often with family and hired caregivers. While I didn’t own any pets till the age of 13, I was in very close proximity to them for many years through visiting animal education facilities and having many friends who owned a range of different pets. As I grew older, I went on to care for; dogs, cats (both young and old), rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters owned by close friends and even went on to own a dog and some rabbits. Since then, my interactions with animals have become less frequent but remain extremely fulfilling and I wish to always contribute to the animal welfare ecosystem until I’m able to have my own once again.
