At 11yrs old I worked in a grooming parlour, washing and drying the dogs and holding them while they were clipped then progressed to assisting my mother in running her kennels and cattery. My duties involved: * Cleaning out the kennels. *Feeding and walking the dogs. * Reporting back if I noticed any of the animals appeared poorly and seeking veterinary advice when required * Took charge of the cattery and care of the cats * Showed potential customers around the kennels and cattery and promoted the business. * Responsible for totalling bills, invoices and receipts for the clients. * Monitoring individual special diets for each dog/cat. *Thoroughly enjoyed this work before entering into the nursing profession for the next 30 years. I would now like to return to my first love ie. Caring for my four legged friends.
