I was training as a vet nurse in my 20s but life had other ideas and I became a registered dental nurse right up until now. I have cared for my own dogs,cats, hamsters, rabbits cockateels and pet rats through the years though and I will always be an animal lover. My cat Pebbles is 21 and she's been with me since she was 4 mths old My eldest daughter is a veterinary surgeon. She is always able to answer any queries I have with my pets and indeed has been Pebble's vet the past 5 years. During the pandemic I walked more, often 10 miles a day and often thought it would be even nicer with a dog or two by my side. I don't have a dog at present but I have owned a Jack Russel through to old age and a German Shepherd and Jackahuiha. I always had animals as a child as my father loved to rescue any wildlife that needed help. Our dogs and cats were always rescued. Usually from the RSPCA. Now I am 55 years of age I would really like to move away from dental nursing and care for animals, my first passion. Walking dogs for their owners who find it difficult to exercise their dogs themselves due to work or becoming less able bodied. A good hour or two walk in any weather is perfect.( Except exceptional heat of course)
