I owned my own B&B for 15 years until I sold my house. I then worked in the housekeeping department of a local Care Home. I currently work as a live-in carer looking after the elderly and disabled in their own homes which means cleaning and caring for their homes as well as their medical needs. This is not permanent. The assignments are only around 3 - 4 per year. I can easily work around these as I'm only away for a reasonably short time. If I find an alternative job, with enough hours, I will be giving up the live-in care job.
