I used to be au pair for 4 years and was looking after two young children and a dog but also was in charge of keeping the 3 story house tidy and clean at all time as the owners were hosting dinners very often. I used to do everything from doing the laundry for the whole household to walking the dog, cooking dinner for the children, hoovering and mopping the floors everyday, the owners were very specific on how clean they wanted the place to be so I was cleaning the walls, refrigerator, oven and windows twice a week but also cleaning the sofas once a week. I don't see cleaning and tidying as a challenge but on the contrary I actually enjoy doing that and find it very satisfactory. But also lately I went travelling for a couple of years and was staying and volunteering at farms in Czechia and Hungary for several months each time, waking up very early to feed the sheep and goats but also doing some farm work like gardening and building/fixing fences. Spending hours in the fields and garden weeding and planting is not an issue for me.
