I have many years experience caring for all ages & needs.I am a trained cook and have city and guilds cleaning & facility management qualifications. I hold a food hygiene certificate and was head cook for a police station. I hold city & guilds care qualifications. I have worked in a nursing home & as a private personal carer to an elderly lady at home & was registered as her emergency care through a council run support scheme. I worked for years as an assistant to an elderly lady. I love to nurture people. I feel much care work lacks friendship, emotional & spiritual support & understanding. I lost three children & my husband I have an understanding of loss & the grieving that follows. I like to think I am an enabler, not just a carer. I knit, sew, weave, cook, decorate, read, play games, garden, and bake. I enjoy crafts, speak a little French & Spanish. I am good company & happy to do whatever I am able to in order to bring a little joy wherever I work. My work is always done to the very best of my ability and I take pride and pleasure from my work. I love to motivate those who have become sad, lonely, or just bored in general. I have worked in nursing homes, but prefer helping folks to remain at home.
