Hello I am Zion. I am passionate about caring for people, a quality that I have had since birth. I first embarked on a career in helping others in 2013 when I worked as a Volunteer Youth Worker. Since then I have worked in a supported living settings as a support worker, care homes as a care assistant, I am currently a registered back-up carer for a foster parent, and work as a live-in carer, providing respite on a rota basics. I find fulfilment, purpose, and enjoyment, and the need to do my best by caring for people with a person centred approach, always being aware of respecting other people's dignity, involving them in decision making, giving them privacy and their own space, but yet being around for a conversation and companionship. I am upbeat, with a positive attitude, and a willingness to care. I have worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, I have supported young adults with Autism that at times display challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities , Dementia and Alzheimer, I support with daily care, including all aspects of personal care, supporting morning and evening routines, including cooking all meals, companionship, running errands, live-in respite, day shifts or waking night.
