My parents have recently moved into a nursing home, thankfully the same one and I was surprised at the lack of befriending services in my area. Mum was very lonely and just needed someone to talk to. I did what I could but was working fulltime. As a result of this I have decided to retire and give my time to being a befriender to those that need someone to spend time with them. I am fine with animals so if your loved ones have pets that will not be an issue. I am Caring and love listening to stories of the elderly who are our living history. I just want to give to someone a service that was not there for my parents especially my mum.
