I am a qualified nurse with many years experience of working with the elderly in a hospital setting. I have a lot of experience in working with patients suffering varying degrees of dementia. This is usually at a critical stage in their illness, and have required hospitalisation for medication review etc., working with the elderly is something I always wanted to do, and I began my nurse training in 1983 in the southern general hospital in Glasgow, working in various areas. When I qualified in 1985, I got a job in a local hospital, and worked there for 30yrs. I now have 7yrs experience of care home nursing, and have recently begun agency nursing which means I get to work in various care homes. I take my job very seriously and consider myself conscientious, thorough and very proud in the work that I do.
