I have worked in care for the past 15years. Im nvq3 qualified in health and social. Ive just finished working as a team leader in a residential home and have experience working in two nursing homes and a private homes. I was brought up in a home due to my family running their own nursing home. My grandmother was a matron/nurse, aunt was a high leader and my mum a carer. I've always enjoyed helping the elderly and my motto is "That will be me one day, So treat those the way you would like to be treated". I enjoy and love helping people - trying to help/encourage their independence. Previously worked with elderly couple. One with Alzheimer's and other with heart conditions. I’m fully medication trained, dementia, palliative, diabetic, continence , safeguarding, manual handling, dignity, food&hygiene, epilepsy, skin tears, communication, nutrition, trained. I have dealt with a lot doctors OTs Physio’s district nurses & social workers
