From the age of 12 years old, alongside my studies, I became a caregiver in my home. I became very independent and began taking over activities such as cleaning, cooking, and looking after my younger siblings along with mother who had become physically disabled after losing her leg. I also have a young daughter who was born with down syndrome. I cared for her along with my mother and did this whilst taking extra courses, working, and eventually opening my own business. I engaged in charitable ventures. I hosted ‘Buy 1, Feed 1’ nights at my restaurant where for every meal purchased, I made one meal which was given to the less fortunate and also donated food left over at the end of the day to the local homeless shelter. I also took part in organising and promoting events for my local ‘Homelessness Awareness’ campaign.Also work with spinal home care agencies
