I have 8 years experience in the care sector. I started off as a carer in a residential setting dealing with a lot of dementia and challenging behaviour. I then moved to a smaller residential home where I became a senior carer and undertook my medication training and was in charge of running the shift. I have also worked for the NHS in mental health and learning disability units. I have been a support worker in the community for clients with mental health needs and have extensive knowledge in mental health. I have also done a social work degree and have lots of knowledge of safeguarding and legislation such as the care act, the mental health act and the mental capacity act.
