Carer for family member • Supporting family member with every day tasks following a stroke and cardiac arrest, arranged engaging activities to ensure quality of life was sustained, cherished each day, developing skills, and enriching both own life and theirs. • Undertaking general home maintenance and cleanliness tasks to ensure family member remained comfortable within home surroundings and can recover in a hygienic and secure environment. • Providing nutritious meals and promoting healthy living to assist with recovery and extend life expectancy, offered support with any feeding needs if required. • Administering first aid when required and assisting with any medication, ensuring all drugs are given in the approved quantities and during the correct time periods. • Accompanied family member to medical appointments, communicated effectively with clinical teams to understand and digest complex terminology and health related advice. Currently hold a certificate/ Qualification for Safe moving and Handling of People and Objects.
