I recently worked as an activity organiser in a care home, so this opened up my care knowledge to a whole number of creative care inventions that can help improved peoples quality of life and give them fun and interesting things to look forward to. And before than i worked as a 24/7 live in carer for an elderly couple, one of whom had a lewy body dementia and the other had suffered a stroke. My role here included companionship, personal care, domestic duties, meal preparation and handling medication. Before i became a live in carer i worked in a variety of care environments, from nursing & residential homes to in the community caring for people in their homes. I've predominantly cared for elderly clients, with or without mental health issues, such as Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and the like. But i have also cared for special needs and some younger clients as well.
