I have been working in Care for over 10+ years in various roles from domiciliary care in the community to healthcare assistant in the hospitals to currently therapy assistant (occupational/physio),I have worked with service users/patients who have had Alzheimer’s, Dementia, MS, Parkinson’s, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviours, Stroke’s, Neuro and Palliative patients. I have gained so much knowledge and experience not only from my job roles, but also from service users/patients I have looked after over the years. I have experience of using manual handling aids from, walking frames, Sara steady, Rota stand, hoist, wheelchairs. I am kind, caring, calm, and have a compassionate attitude and understanding of a service user/patient’s dignity, rights and respect, the right requirements necessary for a safe and effective performance in this role.
