I worked as a nurse for nearly 30 years supporting mainly elderly clients on wards, care homes and community settings. Since leaving nursing I have had several elderly clients and supported them and their families to enjoy a good quality of life and continue to go out into the community and pursue interests. I have been with one lady for 6 years but recently she has required a care home placement. I’m a kind person with a lot of empathy and a real interest in people and their life stories. I would say I’m very positive and like to focus on what can be done rather than what can’t. I have a dry sense of humour and find that laughter really is the best medicine. I love to keep fit and spend time with my family. I also love to be creative so would be very happy to support a client with any art, textile and craft projects if they enjoy these hobbies. I love my work and hope to find a client I can help and who will no doubt enrich my life too.
