I cared for my mum for 5 years. She had Alzheimer's and mobility problems. The daily care involved helping my mum to get out of bed and wash/dress herself, then the same at night. Prepare all food and drink during the day. Housework, laundry and ironing. Food shopping . Taking my mum to hospital appointments and out for day trips either in my car or pushing my mums wheelchair. Most importantly, I was my mums constant companion.
