I’ve worked in health and social care for 20 years as a carer and at various management positions, in the community and care homes. I’m currently employed and work for a nationally recognised care organisation but find that my to day job does not always give me the same hands on approach that I feel I’m good at. I’ve cared for individuals with various needs and requirements and whilst I can only offer a few hours a week, I believe I have the ability to offer somebody locally, an outstanding service. I have in-depth experience of the practical skills when caring for individuals as well as the underpinning knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and CQC regulations to ensure I conduct myself in line with the legal framework. I have a current enhanced DBS, mandatory training courses in date, qualification in health and social care and a level 5 diploma in leadership and management.
