Hi, my name is Rebecca, I have been working in the health and social care environment for 5 years. Firstly I started as a care assistant for the elderly when I was 18, this was working in nursing and residential homes, most of my experience in the 3 and a half years I worked as a carer was with service users with dementia, but also touching in with learning disabilities too. I helped to provide end of life assistance to people requiring palliative care and I also have experience with Stoma and Catheter care, moving and handling with glide sheets, stand aids and hoists. I have the relevant qualifications in health and saftey, food hygiene, fire saftey, dementia awareness and a level 3 award in first aid. If I could describe myself briefly I would say I am a outgoing, caring, compassionate and motivated person. I am currently studying my BA Honors in health and social care at the open University with the ambition to do my social worker degree after. I am a complete animal person with a love for cute dogs!
