Hello. My name is Rachel and I am a former Spanish teacher. I have had lots of roles previously which have involved caring for others. When I first graduated I worked as a your guide on Latin America where I took groups of 12 people of trekking and wildlife tours. I was solely responsible for their welfare during these trips and this was pre mobile phones! So problem solving was something you had to do on your own! Since then I have been a teacher for children and young people and I currently work for a youth organisation. I grew up in a village stores and post office where the majority of our customers were elderly people so from a young age I was delivering shopping to the elderly often stopping in for a cup of tea and to help them with anything they needed help with at home. I love helping others and enjoy the company of older people whose lives are so rich and interesting.
