worked as part of a team in a house with 4 residents . Supporting with their everyday needs . Every aspect from the second they wake up to going to bed . Sleep ins and waking nights . Supporting with daily tasks like cooking,cleaning , shopping ,finances ect . The 4 gentleman I supported was in a 24 hour supported house with a variety of complex needs such as learning disabilities , dementia ,autism .,dysphasia ect . There is no greater achievement then Supporting these gentleman to live their life to the full . I even organised a wedding with the team for one gentleman that always said he wanted to marry the church . If someone wants to get married then why shouldn't they? Supporting him to live out his life long dream is one of the best and treasured achievements of my life and will be with me forever! As a team we have battled the NHS and doctors to make sure the gentleman we supported got the care he needed and rightly deserved and was not just passed off due to disabilities.although I have left the job full time I still have a passion for care . I work in a well known bank in the day and do sleep ins for a agency in living supported houses
