I have been caring for the elderely and peope with disabilities for a number of years. I feel being a good carer is the ability to be able to listen. Listening enables one to understand the clients needs, emotionally, physically and spiritually and being able to action those needs. My experience is vast and includes: 1. Manual and overhead hoisting 2. Dementia care 3. Catheter care 4. Personal/Intimate care 5. Cooking 6. Peg feeding 7. Tracheostomy 8. Companionship My special talent is being able to read the client and being able to adapt to each client I look after. Each client is different, with different personalities, opinions, likes, and dislikes.
