My first experience of caring for the elderly was when I was 17, where worked with people that had suffered a stroke. I then worked as a care assistant in a care home in Halifax, where I worked my way up to Deputy Matron. On leaving this job I worked as a Senior care assistant in a residential home. Last year I worked for a home care company, where I cared for the elderly in their own home. I thoroughly enjoy working with the elderly as they are so interesting and fun and so grateful for your help. I enjoy the freedom working in someone home as each day can bring different opportunities.
