I am contacting you to apply for the role of a Healthcare Assistant. After reviewing the job description, I believe that my background makes me a strong candidate for this position. My desire to help people live better lives started 5 years ago when my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's and dementia disease. Being able to assist him in living the best possible life till his last days and knowing how it would have been difficult for her to manage on his own, made me pursue a career in healthcare. Professionally, I have worked as a care assistant and support worker, working in hospitals acute settings, and residential homes. My experience in this field has taught me to listen to and respect the service user's needs and work within their requirement enabling me to deliver personal-centred care. I understand the challenging circumstances that the service user may be facing and therefore being passionate, patient, and expressing empathy are some of the underlying factors in my approach to my work. I have supported people with different challenging needs in life
