I gave personal care to my late dad, brother and sister before they passed away. The pain and agony of loosing a loved one has made me more loving, caring and compassionate to those who direly desire this. Was responsible for giving the DAD and brother full body wash, assisted with medication, stayed by his side when I was told dad had only 3 more days to live. He literally passed on in my arms. Same with my brother who had stroke for the second time. Had these personal experience I can relate with any situation and adapt my skills to enhance service user's needs, desire. I can also be a good companion encouraging them to be as independent as they can be.
