I would describe myself as respectful, observant, reliable, patient person whose priority is to give first class care. Over the years, I have worked in various roles where the need to closely work with people, follow strict rules and procedures and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required. I have a natural affinity to the role of a caregiver. This has further developed by the experience of caring for the elderly relatives. I have gained necessary skills which are relevant to the person specification for this role. I have acquired empathy, understanding and compassion. This I have exhibited in caring of the adults with additional needs and challenging behaviours. I have effectively worked in Care home where I put my experience in work. I closed the curtains and doors to give the required privacy before proceeding to cleaning up the resident. This is to uphold the dignity and respect to the resident.I have excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills. I ask them questions to know their mind and also ask questions to obtained permission before engaging them on either changing of clothes, hoisting, shaving and cleaning. I believe I meet the person specification of the role.
