I have worked in care for around 2 years now, what started as a part time job to earn some extra cash whilst at college has now turned into what has motivated me to want to peruse a nursing career. I am compassionate and empathetic having worked with vulnerable adults from all different backgrounds. I am also very well experienced with dementia having worked with those who suffer for over a year now. I consider myself to be very patient, understanding the struggles having to surrender some of your independence can be very challenging for a lot of adults. Learning how to become more attentive over time has meant that I am able to detect physical and emotional changes in the person who I am caring for, assuring that their needs are met at all times and that I am individual who they can trust and rely upon.
